THE EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM AT 30 JUNE 2007 HUMAN RESOURCES Kim Cadigan Kim heads the Human Resources business group and has more than 20 years’ experience in human resources and organisational relationship development. Prior to joining Dairy Australia, Kim worked as the group Human Resources Manager for MYOB. She also held other management, consulting and coaching roles in human resources and organisational development in Australia, New Zealand and Zimbabwe across a number of industries. MBA, BA, Educ Dip Appointed: 2005 FARM PRODUCTIVITY & DELIVERY Stephen Coats Steve’s career has focused on dairy farm practice change. During 10 years with the Victorian Department of Agriculture and 12 years with Bonlac Foods, he pioneered many projects including those that ultimately established Victoria’s Target 10 extension program and the eight Regional Development Programs. He also introduced Australia’s first milk quality payment scheme and Bonlac Foods farmer representative scheme. Steve is now focusing on processes for setting national R&D priorities and successful change management. BAgrSc (Hons), MAgrSc, Grad Dip Business Studies Appointed: 2001 TECHNICAL ISSUES Helen Dornom The Technical Issues business group’s objective is to assure the integrity of the national dairy supply chain through risk assessment and risk management solutions. It also focuses on food safety and product integrity across the whole chain and is responsible for the industry’s issues management capability. Helen is the group’s first Manager, having previously been CEO of the dairy industry’s peak policy body, the Australia Dairy Industry Council (ADIC) and Executive Officer of the Australian Dairy Products Federation (ADPF). She joined the dairy industry in 1976 as the industry liaison officer for CSIRO’s Dairy Research Laboratory, before joining the ADIC in 1988. BAgrSc (Hons) Appointed: 2003 VALUE CHAIN INNOVATION Isabel MacNeill Isabel leads the Value Chain Innovation business group, which invests in a wide range of activities that focus on adding value to milk after it leaves the farmgate. She has extensive dairy experience with more than 15 years with the New Zealand Dairy Board (NZDB) and the Fonterra Co-operative Group. Isabel’s roles have ranged from managing nutrition technical support and health research for Fonterra’s global consumer business though to managing the Dairy Advisory Bureau – the generic marketing organisation – for the NZDB. Her most recent roles at Fonterra have included technology leadership for health and bioactives and also in business innovation. BSc, GradDip Appointed: 2006
